The best Chianti tradition is reinterpreted through the absolute belief in Sangiovese and the value of its territory. The cornerstones of the production philosophy are the grape variety and terroir, used to produce austerity and elegance, recalling the most authentic tradition of Chianti Classico.
Terroir
San Leonino is situated in Castellina in Chianti, in the borderland between Florence and Siena, where clay meets alberese soils and the continental climate meets a more temperate one.
The combination of different soil types, with a medium-textured limestone structure and rich in stones, the presence of lakes and streams and the unique soil and microclimate of the area make this part of Chianti Classico thriving and enable us to produce wines with great elegance and complexity.
